By Michael Hutchins Herald Democrat A Sherman tech manufacturer appears to be downsizing its workforce in a cost-cutting effort. Representatives with Coherent, parent company of Finisar, confirmed Wednesday that it is adjusting its workforce at its Sherman facility amid a market slowdown. Representatives with the company have not said how extensive the layoffs at the Sherman facility or other Coherent facilities will be. 'Yesterday, on May 10, we made an adjustment to the size of our workforce at our facility in Sherman, Texas,' a spokesperson for the company said Thursday.
