By Michael Hutchins Herald Democrat Last week during a special Texas Senate committee hearing, Texas Education Agency Commissioner Mike Morath said the agency plans to review and test external entry points at every school in Texas. Representatives for Sherman and Denison Independent School Districts said the districts already have practices in place to ensure that schools are secured and doors are working properly. 'There are several immediate action steps that are being taken to significantly improve the level of safety in the fall,' Morath said.
