The suspect in the armed robbery of the First United Bank in Sherman last week was fatally shot Friday night by Sherman Police. Police got a 911 call from the VFW in Sherman about an armed man who had cut the building's phone lines. The first officer encountered the suspect, who pulled a weapon on the officer and forced the officer to shoot. The suspect, identified as Larry Wayne Harvey, III, died at the scene. Texas Rangers are investigating.
