News SHERMAN, Texas (KTEN) — A heads up for Sherman drivers: The FM 1417 southbound exit ramp to State Highway 56 will close temporarily starting Friday morning. The Texas Department of Transportation says southbound motorists can access Highway 56 by turning left on Washington Street and then making a right-hand turn on Sunset Boulevard. The Highway 56 exit is scheduled to reopen on Saturday.
